About Maryland Herald

Maryland Herald is an independent digital news publication covering Maryland and Baltimore. We publish reporting, explanation and commentary on state politics, business and the economy, education, health, sports, and the culture and lifestyle of the state.

Our aim is plain, useful news for readers who live and work in Maryland: what happened, why it matters and where to find the primary sources. Opinion pieces are labeled as opinion and reflect the views of their authors, not the publication's news reporting.
